Here are the notes.

Today in Honors Math III we finished going through some examples of end behavior. After that, we went through combining end behavior with the zeros and solutions. We used zeros and solutions to determine the behavior in the middle of the graph.

In Honors Math III we talked for a bit about the test. Afterwards we began our lesson on polynomials. We learned some vocab and worked out how to determine end behavior and write it correctly. On Monday we will continue this and go over the test in full.

The last couple days in Intro we have completed work with algebraic expressions. This includes solving them and writing them. We did notes and lots of practice. They will be working on a review on Monday and testing on Tuesday.

Math to words handout

In Math III we have been working on piecewise functions and inverse functions. We took a quiz yesterday. It did not go as well as I would expect. Many students attempted strategies that I never taught and they did not work due to them not fully understanding the strategy they attempted. In the future I hope more of them will come see me for help so that they can fully understand the methods and concepts. Today we will be finishing up inverse functions and working into operations between functions. Review will be Monday and test will be Tuesday.

Today in Honors Math III we began with a quiz. After the quiz I went into our lesson on absolute value equations and inequalities. We learned how to solve them and then finished by reviewing more graphing rules.

Here are the notes. There is a quiz Friday

Today in Honors math III we warmed up on systems of equations and then learned about substitution and elimination. We then moved on to graphing inequalities and systems of inequalities. We practiced and compared it to other real world examples. Their homework is 1-3.

They did not have homework other than to complete 1-1 homework if they haven't already.

In Honors Math III we began with a warmup that was a viral math problem. We then went over a warmup on functions. After that we went over the homework and began our lesson on solving systems by graphing and elimination. Their homework will be 1-2 homework. They must complete the graphing portion as well as finding the equations for the word problems. They must solve 3 of the word problems by graphing. They should attempt the substitution and elimination problems and complete the rest of the word problems using one of these methods.
