In academic we reviewed Unit 9 and I announced we will not have a Unit 9 exam. They will complete the review for accuracy as a quiz grade for Thursday. We will review for the final tomorrow and Thursday.
In honors we took our exam. Here is the released NCFE questions for studying. Today in Academic Math II we finished our Unit 9 notes. I went over combinations as well comparing them to permutations and making the students differentiate.
Here are the notes Today in honors math II we reviewed for our final test. Here is the review review key Happy snow day to all. I am sad to say that due to the limited amount of time, you must do something over this weekend so we can finish on time.
Academic math II students. I expect you to go through the notes of 9.3 and complete them from my attachment and then complete the 9.3 homework for Monday in addition to 9.2. They will both be checked on Monday. Notes (go down to 9.3) Honors math II students. I expect you to fill out he following worksheet as practice for conditional probability. I have attached both the sheet and the key so that you can check your answers. It will be checked in addition to your regular homework. HW Key Happy new year and Happy final unit. In academic math II we began our final unit of probability and statistics these last two days. On day one we defined the sample space which is the basis for all probability. We then defined basic probability and how to calculate it as well as adding compound probability. On day two we talked more about venn diagrams and then we introduced the tree diagram. This is an organizational tool for finding the number of possibilities for multiple events. We then showed the way to calculate this with the fundamental counting principle. Day 1 and 2 notes In Honors math 2 we continued the final unit. We reviewed on Monday and talked about Einstein's riddle to usher in the new year with some fun. On Tuesday we went over the Einstein riddle and then talked about conditional probability. This is where you ask for the probability of an event when you already know something has happened previously. We went through it conceptually as well as computationally and learned the formula.
