Now is time for me to get back to business on these blogs.
On monday in academic math II we began our new unit. I passed out our homework packet and we began learning about congruent triangles. The first lesson was with triangles that were already congruent. We used CPCTC which stands for corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent. This means that we can find corresponding sides and angles of triangles that are congruent and we know they must be congruent. We use it to solve equations and solve for lengths and angles. They did 8-1 for homework. On Tuesday we reviewed CPCTC and then started learning the triangle congruence postulates. We went through SSS, SAS, and ASA. We learned how to recognize all of them. They had time to finish the homework. Tomorrow we will begin a project that will take up the next two days in class.

On Monday in Honors Math II we also began our new unit. I passed out the packets and we began learning CPCTC. We learned that if triangles are congruent they have corresponding parts that must be congruent to each other. We practiced it and then they completed their homework. On Tuesday we went over the homework and then began learning all 5 congruence postulates and theorems. We learned SSS, SAS, ASA, HL, and AAS. We practiced them all and learned why they work.
