I apologize for the 9/28 not appearing until 10/3, but apparently it did not upload properly. You can see the date posted as 9/28, but I am aware it was not actually able to be read. We had a quiz on Friday and I did not complete a blog for that day.
Now, back to class. In academic math II we started off by going over a couple graphing examples. After going over it in the exact way we had done the other problems, I suggested we talk about it as an inequality. We discussed what it meant and then the differences on graphing it. We went over a few examples of this and then talked about a single word problem. We will discuss word problems today and then review on Wednesday and test on Thursday.

In Honors Math II we began with an inequality warmup. Most of the students had no idea what to do and so I told them to do everything exactly the same as before and see if they can figure out what the difference may be. We went through the example and then discussed the difference when we got to graphing. I made a point to explain that inequalities are sometimes actually two graphs and why you sometimes graph the parabola as a solid graph and sometimes dotted. We discussed the why and repeated it throughout. We went through a few examples before going into word problems. We went into 2 word problems and then had to end the day. We will discuss more word problems tomorrow as well as inequalities. We will end with another computer activity. Wednesday will be review and Thursday will be the test.
