Today in Intro we reviewed for our quiz tomorrow all class. We did a trashketball review game where they were in groups and completed review problems. We will review more before the quiz and then take the quiz tomorrow.
Today in Honors Math III we went over homework and then finished talking about graphing inequalities. After inequalities we moved on to talking about graphing absolute value functions. Here are the notes. Today in Intro we warmed up on reviewing adding and subtracting and then went into multiplying and dividing integers. They worked on both the 1-3 and 1-2 homework in class.
Here are the notes. There is a quiz Friday Today in Honors math III we warmed up on systems of equations and then learned about substitution and elimination. We then moved on to graphing inequalities and systems of inequalities. We practiced and compared it to other real world examples. Their homework is 1-3. Here are the notes. There is a quiz Friday Today in Intro we began our lessons on adding and subtracting integers. They practiced it yesterday, but we learned about methods of doing it as well as seeing it. We went through visualizing blocks being added and subtracted as well as on a number line. I told them how important it was to visualize this in their head.
Here are the notes. They did not have homework other than to complete 1-1 homework if they haven't already. In Honors Math III we began with a warmup that was a viral math problem. We then went over a warmup on functions. After that we went over the homework and began our lesson on solving systems by graphing and elimination. Their homework will be 1-2 homework. They must complete the graphing portion as well as finding the equations for the word problems. They must solve 3 of the word problems by graphing. They should attempt the substitution and elimination problems and complete the rest of the word problems using one of these methods. Here are the notes. Today day 1 of the Fall 2018 semester and it was awesome!
In Intro we began with a warmup on observations, wonderings, and guesses about a cellphone. It was a fun activity where I learned many names and got lots of students involved. Afterwards I went over my info and my welcome letter. If students have not, they should go to tinyurl.com/bryantintroinfo to fill in important information for me. Also they should fill out and return the following: husky honor code and calculator agreement Welcome Letter Afterwards I allowed them to attempt the 1-1 homework and will go over it along with a lesson tomorrow.
