Today in Intro we restarted learning graphing. We learned about the x axis and y axis as well as intercepts. We graphed many points and I gave them an assignment that most completed in class. Tomorrow we will graph many points and connect to form a line. This will be from tables and intercepts. Friday will be a test on this
Today in Honors Math III we learned about chords and arcs of a circle. There were many theorems here.

Unit 4 Part 2 was an interesting unit for us in Honors Math III. The average grade was not very high, but it was a more difficult unit, so that is to be expected. There was a bit of a hiccup due to some technological issues, however. Two of the classes got a different test than the other two classes. We have been working and talking to a lot of people to find the best solution to this situation and we have come to a conclusion of what we will do. I apologize the solution did not come sooner, but it took some time to figure out the best solution.
My students will be given the opportunity to take the exam that was given to the other classes. Essentially, this test is a retest, except with a maximum score of 100%. Whichever of the two tests is higher will be counted. After this, students will be given a 3rd opportunity for the traditional retest if requested. For more details, please email me or have your student talk to me about it.
This Unit 4 pt. 2 test will be given on Wednesday November 28th in husky help/lunch as well as before and after school for 3rd period. It will be given on Thursday November 28th in husky help/lunch as well as before and after school for 4th period. Please have your students arrange a time to take this with me beforehand. This is a full test so the student will be given a maximum of 80 minutes to take the test.
Today in Intro we learned about slope and tomorrow we will talk about slope intercept form of the equation of a line. Homework was a worksheet I passed out.
Here are the notes
Today in Honors Math III we learned the properties of a bunch of quadrilaterals and used them in practice problems. It was a lot of information, but I know they can handle it.
Here are the notes.
The review is Thursday and the test is Friday.
Hopefully everyone had a good extended weekend. I am just here to post a filled in version of the notes most recently for Honors Math III.
The homework is 5.3 proving parallelograms practice 9-20
I am back. I was gone the last two days so the intro kids worked on worksheets and practice for solving equations as well as introduction to graphing.
worksheet 1 solving equations
In Math III they tested on Monday. I will try to grade those tonight. Tuesday they filled out some notes on angle pairs and parallel lines. Today, we began proofs. We learned the rules we could use and practiced using them.
Day 1 and 2 notes
Today in intro we took the test on Solving Equations. We will start a new unit on Monday. I will not be there, but I will go back over it on Wednesday when I get back.
Today in Honors Math III we completed our talking day. It will be a quiz grade for students. Monday will be the exam. It will contain review from part 1 and a lot of the part 2 of Unit 4. They should study both parts.

The review key is not written in the form I prefer and the student should be aware of the proper notation. If I have time I will make a key in the proper notation and post it later.
I will not be in school on Monday or Tuesday. I will give them materials to work on and learn, but I will go back over them on Wednesday to make sure they understand.
Here I will look forward at upcoming topics and events in the class as well as reflect on the previous weeks.
