Honors Math III
We will be testing this week on Thursday and many in 2nd block will be missing class due to the PSAT.
Monday:
We will start off the day with a movie trivia Kahoot. This will get everyone excited so we can do some even more exciting mathematics. After the kahoot we will go over the homework and then take the quiz (2nd block). After the quiz we will move on to the remainder theorem and f(x) = g(x). These concepts will be the last of the unit and we will go over them in detail before discussing the review tomorrow. 4th block will be a bit different because of the pep rally on Friday. We will have to learn synthetic division and practice it in detail today. We will discuss why it works as well as go over many examples.
Tuesday:
Tuesday was different depending on the period. 2nd block we completed a talking day review. The students went through a series of problems and solved them as a class. 3rd block we went through the remainder theorem and practiced it a lot.
Wednesday:
2nd block did not meet today. 4th block completed their talking day today exactly like 2nd did yesterday.
Thursday:
Test
Friday:
We started unit 4 today. We started off by talking about different types of variation. We talked about direct variation and solved many problems involving it. We then moved on to inverse variation and went through it before combining them into join variation and went through them. We discussed that this unit was rational expressions and went through a quick example of it.

Academic Math III
Monday:
We will begin with an exciting movie trivia kahoot. Afterwards we will move on to learning how to divide polynomials. This will involve review of long division of numbers and then extending it to division of polynomials. We will be working on the whiteboards and working through problems as a class as well as individuals. Tomorrow will be more practice with it and then moving on to synthetic division.
Tuesday:
We began by practicing with whiteboards. We went through a bunch of examples of synthetic division. I showed how much faster it was and showed them the steps.
Wednesday:
Whiteboard practice all day. We practiced a bunch of problems as I went around and checked them. Correct answers as well as participation for today and tomorrow will be a 2nd quiz grade for this unit.
Thursday:
Whiteboard review. We continued from where we left of yesterday and practiced all different types of problems on the whiteboards. I kept track of effort and correct answers to make this the quiz grade.
Friday:
