Today in Math II we took a "Quiz" and reviewed for our exam tomorrow. The review was done in the hall and then I passed out a short review sheet. There will be one short fill in the blank flow chart proof similar to the one on the review.
review review key extra proofs 1 extra proofs 2 Today in Math I we worked in the MVP booklet on 9.6. We did not finish, but will finish tomorrow. It was practicing with line of best fit and correlation coefficient (r value). There was a lot of discussion, but they should also have written answers to some of the questions. If they do not, they should ask a neighbor for it. The homework is this sheet today. They can print it or just copy the problems down. In Math II we took a quiz and then practiced proofs of congruent triangles. We did some fill in the blank and then I gave them homework and an extra sheet of practice.
lesson hw extra practice In Math I we reviewed for the quiz and then took the quiz. After the quiz, we talked a bit about r value and how to find it. I gave them basic instructions on it and asked them to copy it down. I made it very clear they needed to have it copied down for tomorrow. warmup/notes Today in Math II we completed our lesson on AAS and HL and practiced with a bunch of kahoots. Tomorrow will be a quiz.
Notes Today in Math I we went over the 1 var stats on the calculator which helps us find mean and standard deviation faster than by hand. We then completed 9.2.5B in the booklet. I will post the "key" to it although it doesn't show the work that is done in the calculator. Calc cheat sheet 1 Calc cheat sheet 2 9.2.5b Today in Math II we went over our test and then began our new unit. It is a continuation of the new unit and will be talking about triangle congruence and not similarity. We learned CPCTC today which stands for corresponding parts of congruent triangles are congruent.
Unit outline Day 1 notes Day 1 classwork Homework Packet In Math I we completed 9.2. Almost the entire lesson 9.2 from the booklet. Friday was the formal lesson on this material. If you want notes on that, go to friday's blog. The lesson today was almost completely verbal, but here is the key to some of the material we discussed. Homework is 9.2 R,S 9.2 Today in Honors Math II we took our test. We will begin our new unit next week.
In Math I we completed a powerpoint on SOCS of data. SOCS stands for shape, outliers, center, and spread. The important information can be found on the following powerpoint. They were given a worksheet for homeowork. NOTES Today in Math II we reviewed for the exam. We completed a talking day and went over the homework assignments. I then passed out the review. Make sure to review proofs as well even though they aren't on the review sheet. Also attached below are the notes on midsegment and triangle proportionality.
Midsegment and Proportionality notes Review key In Math I today we completed our field test of final exam questions. This took the entire class period. We did, however, in the previous days complete the 9.1 activity in the MVP Module 9 booklet. Due to not having a full digital version of it I was unable to take notes on my tablet so I do not have a version of it that I can post, but the students can always ask others to see their notes just like in the old days. Tomorrow we will continue into 9.2 with a structured lesson on shape of data and center. In Honors Math II we quizzed at the beginning of class and then moved on to learning about proving similar triangles. We didn't get through all of the examples, but did get through a few so they should have the basics of how to complete a proof.
Notes 1 notes 2 On Friday in Math I we tested. The grades are in and they worked on test corrections on Monday. The retest is expected on Thursday. We will start our new lesson tomorrow. Today in Honors Math II we began with our Vocabulary Quiz. I may have those graded for tomorrow. Afterwards, we learned the triangle angle sum theorem and the remote exterior angle theorem. These were pretty quick. For homework they must complete 7-3, and make note cards for alternate interior, alt exterior, corresponding, same side int, same side ext angles.
In Math I we reviewed for the exam. The review is the best plan for studying for the test tomorrow. There will also be writing the equation of a line. Here is the review. |
