Here are the notes.
Today in Honors Math II we completed day 2 of our notes. It was on parallel lines and transversals. We learned about the angle pairs that come up in these circumstances and their relationships to each other. Tomorrow is our vocab quiz

On Monday in Honors Math II we tested. We then began our new unit today. We learned a bunch of vocab today which they will create note cards for homework.
Notes Unit outline On Monday in Math I we began our new unit. We learned the distance formula. I am having them create right triangles instead of using the formula as this will be applied in multiple areas and is less likely to be forgotten. On Tuesday we learned the midpoint formula as well as using distance to determine types of triangles. Day 1 notes Day 2 notes Day 1 hw This week has been hectic due to planning Prom.
Monday will be the Honors Math II exam and we will start a new unit in Math I. Math II review key Today in Math II we went through our next day of notes and I passed back the quizzes. We went through rotations and I tried my best to give them a basic conceptual understanding as well as a way to remember it. Here are the notes.
Today in Math I we went over a warmup as well as talking about the quiz for the first half of the class. The second half we went through our second to last lesson of the module tomorrow. Here is the review I will hand out tomorrow. Today in Math II we began with a quiz. After the quiz we began our lesson on dilations. It was a quick lesson.
Here are the notes. In Math I we went through a warmup on problems from the recent lessons and then reviewed for a quiz. We then took a quiz. We will complete our next two lessons and then test on Thursday. The last two days of Math II have been pretty normal. We took an exam on the 11th and grades should be in by the end of the day today. Today in class we began our new unit on transformations. We introduced them and talked about each type before learning how to translate points and shapes. Here are the notes.
7.14 in class work 7.15 in class work Sorry for the long gap. Hopefully everyone had a good and relaxing break.
So far this week has been good. In Honors Math II we finished our projects and then reviewed on Tuesday. Here is the hw packet Here is the review Here are the student made problems: 1 2 3 In Math I, we reviewed on Monday. We went over the quadratic graphing and important features of quadratics. We then began our booklets again on Tuesday. We went through 7.13 We didn't get through the entire thing, but it was basically just more on quadratic graphs and their features. It led us a little into solving by factoring which we will continue tomorrow. The homework is the 7.13 Ready and Set. In Honors Math II we completed the lesson on Special Right Triangles on Friday. This involved memorizing the special right triangle rules and using them to fill in side lengths of the triangle.
Here are the notes. On Monday we continued with solving for side lengths on all triangles. This involved teaching trigonometry and the functions/operations of sine, cosine and tangent. Here are the notes. In Math I we went through the first two modules of the new 7b booklet. This has been a bit of a struggle, but we attempted to learn how to graph a quadratic on a calculator and by hand as well as identifying some important information from the graph. Friday lesson Monday lesson Today in Honors Math II we began our new unit. We talked about pythagorean theorem and used it to determine if a triangle was acute, obtuse or right. They will get back their tests tomorrow if I can finish grading them.
Here is the hw packet Here is today's notes. Today in Math I we continued our new unit by completing the 7-5 activity in the booklets. I went over their homework from the previous day with them. We are talking about graphing quadratics and using quadratics in context. Here is the 7-5 activity. Here is a small sample of graphing quadratics notes. In Honors Math II we reviewed variation and then completed a talking day. They reviewed in class and then I moved on to handing out their reviews.
Here is the key to their review. In Math I we began our new unit. We began by talking about some basic information about quadratic equations. We then completed a desmos activity. We will complete an activity from our workbook tomorrow and begin learning about graphing quadratics as well as their features. Here is a small piece of notes we took. |
